The problem
A guess costs more than a diagnosis.
Parts get changed because they are the usual suspect. When the fault survives, the money is gone and the question is still open.
Parts bought for a fault nobody confirmed. Money gone, fault still there.
That something was changed. Not that it was the cause.
The fault, proven, before anyone picks up a spanner.
How it works
Four steps. The fault gets proven, or we say it is not proven.
Send us what it does
Send us what the car does and when it happens. Tell us what has already been tried. That keeps the job focused.
Made to happen again
We make the fault happen before we touch anything else. If we cannot, we say so. Guessing at a fault that comes and goes helps nobody.
Narrowed, not a tour
We test the systems that could cause this fault. We do not walk through six areas that cannot.
Your report
A written answer: what is wrong, how sure we are, and the likely cost. All before any repair starts.
What you get
The report answers one question: what's actually wrong.
Every finding comes with its own proof and how sure we are. A serious fault that is not proven is never dressed up as a confirmed one.
- The cause we confirmed. Or a ranked list of likely causes if we could not narrow it to one.
- The proof for each finding. Codes, live values, physical checks. Not just a claim.
- How sure we are. Confirmed, likely, or possible.
- What the fix should cost, as a range.
- What we ruled out, so you do not pay to rule it out again.

Questions about this service
What owners ask us before booking.
My mechanic already tried to fix it and couldn't. Can you still help?
That's exactly what this is for. We check the fault ourselves instead of starting from somebody else's guess.
What if you can't find the cause either?
We tell you that plainly, and we tell you what we ruled out. That's still worth knowing. It stops you paying to rule out the same things twice.
Do you repair it once you've found it?
No. We find the cause. Your mechanic repairs it. Now with a proven cause instead of a guess.
Which faults do you take on?
Warning lights. Faults that come and go. Misfires. Starting and charging faults. Electrical faults. Gearbox complaints. Sensors and control systems. We work on the car's computers and their wiring. If the fault is mechanical, we will say so and point you elsewhere.
How is the price set if the fault is hard to find?
The price is confirmed before we start. If the job needs more than a standard check, we agree it with you first. You are never billed for time you did not agree to.
What is not covered?
A scan does not check the frame, the body, flood history or a rolled-back odometer. It cannot see inside a sealed part. Our reports say this on the page, not in small print.
Advanced diagnosis
- We check the symptom, then test the right system
- Fault codes read and explained. Live values checked
- A proven cause with the proof, or a ranked list if we cannot narrow it.
- What the fix should cost, as a range
- Report the same day
This report covers computer and electrical test results. It does not check the frame, the body, flood history or the odometer. It is not a warranty. It tells you what we found and what to test next.
Stop paying for guesses.
Tell us the fault and what has been tried. The price is confirmed before we set off. You pay after you read the report. Another guess is another part to pay for.
