A used car can look clean. It can drive well for twenty minutes. It can still cost you. The seller knows things you cannot see in a test drive.

Most buyers bring a friend or a garage mechanic. Neither writes anything down. Neither answers to you later.

We check the car at the seller's place. This happens before any money moves. The report is yours. Take it back to the seller, sleep on it, or walk away.

• What each fault would cost to fix, as a range. That is your bargaining power.

You have a warning light. Or a fault that comes and goes. Or a repair bill that fixed nothing. The car went in, parts came off, and the problem stayed.

The reason is usually the same. A fault code was read as if it named the broken part. A code reports a condition. It does not name the cause.

We test the system until the fault is proven. If it cannot be proven, we say so. You get the proof and a plain answer about what to do next.
